Navigation is currently restricted at Lock 45 Offside at Kents Lock on the Trent & Mersey Canal due to a broken lock gate collar, where the collar has become detached from the offside lock.
Our teams have carried out an initial inspection today and will return early next week to carry out further inspection to plan a method of repair and liaise with our heritage team to secure permission to carry out the necessary repairs. Navigation is still possible through the towpath side lock only.
A further update will be provided on or before Wednesday 30 September
