Towpath Closure - Sheffield & Tinsley Canal, Towpath between the ramp to Meadowhall tram station (by the M1 Viaduct) and Tinsley Forge Bridge 1, Tinsley, Sheffield

The towpath closure is for the safety of the public while contractors working on behalf of Cadent Gas drill a borehole next to the towpath to gather information to aid the design of a new gas crossing below the canal.

Boaters will not be affected. Towpath users should follow the towpath diversion route to the south/east of the canal. The route will be marked with signs.
