We would like to advise customers that specialist third-party contractors will be on site carrying out Leak sealing works to the lock wall.
The works will take place throughout the day and may result in some temporary delays to navigation while activities are being undertaken. However, the canal will reopen to navigation from 4:00pm each day to minimise disruption to customers wherever possible.
These works are an important part of retaining water within the canal and ensuring the continued safety and reliability of the navigation.
In line with our Better Boating commitment, we will continue to keep customers informed and provide updates as further information becomes available.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential leakage repairs are completed. The safety of our customers and the protection of the waterway remain our highest priorities
