To help conserve water resources and support navigation through the current dry conditions, restrictions will be introduced on the North Stratford Canal between Lock 2 and Lock 17 from Friday 21 August.
Passage through Locks 2 to 17 will be available between 10:00am and 3:00pm, with the last entry at 1:00pm. Boaters are asked to plan their journeys carefully and allow sufficient time to complete the restricted section within the available operating window.
These measures are being introduced to help manage water resources while maintaining navigation where possible. We will continue to monitor conditions closely and keep the arrangements under regular review.
