Unfortunately, the planned works have been delayed and were unable to commence this week as scheduled.
As a result, this advice notice will remain in place and has been extended until 28 August 2026 while revised arrangements are made to undertake the works.

Third‑party contractors will be undertaking ground investigation works at the rear of the towpath adjacent to Bridge 14 (Ansty Road).
The towpath will remain open throughout the works; however, barriers, signage and banksmen will be present to manage pedestrian traffic and ensure public safety.
Navigation will not be affected and the canal will remain open as normal.
Instructions: Please follow all on‑site signage and any instructions provided by the contractors.
