Please be advised that the closure has been extended to Roving Bridge, Bromford Junction, BC-008-003.

Due to an ongoing police incident at Galton Bridge (BC-006-003), an urgent restriction is in place. Boaters are strongly advised not to attempt to navigate beneath Galton Bridge until further notice.
Additionally, for public safety, towpath users and other members of the public must not enter the canal or towpath areas between:

Spon Lane Bridge and access points BC-007-001 & BC-007-003

Brasshouse Bridge and access points BC-006-001 & BC-006-008
Canal & River Trust colleagues are being deployed to support emergency services at the scene and to help prevent vessels from entering the affected area.
Please follow all instructions from emergency service personnel and Canal & River Trust staff. Access restrictions are in place for the safety of all waterway users and members of the public.
