Customer Safety Notice - the walk board on the top gate at Park Gate Lock (Lock 40) on the Staffs & Worcs Canal has been damaged by boat impact and is not safe to be used.
The lock is still in use, but pleased be advised that the top gate walkboard should not be used to cross the lock, please cross the lock over the bottom gates.
The walkboard will be made safe and put back into normal use as soon as we are able to repair it fully. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause until it is repaired.
