We have successfully completed repairs to the bottom gates to help prevent further leakage.
When exiting the lock, please leave the lock chamber full to help conserve water.
A full gate replacement is planned as part of a future winter stoppage programme.

Leak
We are carrying out an emergency stoppage at Derwent Mouth Lock 1 on the Trent and Mersey Canal from 8:00am on Monday 10th August until 4:00pm on Tuesday 11th August.
The lock gates are leaking significantly, and repairs are required to help conserve water and maintain safe lock operation.
During this period, passage through the lock will not be possible.
