Description

Original 28 July 2026, 3:24pm

The water levels along the Aire and Calder Navigation will continue to be lowered by 300mm from Ferrybridge Floodgate to Goole, to allow for repairs to a leak in the canal wall at Great Heck.

This will also have an impact on water levels on the New Junction Canal, towards Sykehouse Lock.

Please could boaters moored in these areas, ensure that ropes are loosened accordingly.

This lowering of the water levels is likely to remain in place for up to seven days.

The notice will be updated as soon as levels can be returned to normal.
