Following an inspection by the local team, it has been determined that the lock gate failure requires specialist repairs that cannot be completed by operational staff. As a result, this navigation will remain closed until further notice while we arrange the necessary specialist resources and develop a repair plan. We understand this will be disappointing for boaters and apologise for the inconvenience. The safety of our customers, staff and contractors remains our priority, and navigation cannot be reopened until the repairs have been completed and the lock is safe to operate.
