| Unfortunately, due to ongoing low water levels and the continued lack of significant rainfall, we have made the difficult decision to close the Rushall Lock Flight to navigation today.
This temporary closure is necessary to protect water resources across the network and help maintain water levels for essential canal operations. Continuing to operate the lock flight at current water levels could impact the wider canal network and increase the risk of boats becoming grounded.
We appreciate that this may cause inconvenience to customers and we would like to thank boaters for their patience and understanding while we manage the effects of the current dry conditions.
Our teams will continue to monitor water levels closely and the lock flight will be reopened as soon as conditions allow.
