Following a further inspection of Bridge 85 on the Shropshire Union Canal after a vehicle strike, our team has confirmed that both the towpath and navigation are safe to remain open.
Our local team are now planning a method of repair.
The next update will be provided on or before Wednesday 29 July.

The towpath & navigation is currently closed at Bridge 85 on the Shropshire Union Canal due to a vehicle strike.
Our local team have attended site, and a road closure is required to ensure that the structure of the bridge is protected from further damage. Our teams are now seeking an emergency road closure from the local authority.
An update will be provided on or before Friday 24 July.
