Descriptions

Update 20 July 2026, 12:54pm

We will be dropping the water levels by 300mm in the Aire and Calder Navigation, from Ferrybridge Floodgate to Goole, due to a leak in the canal wall at Great Heck. This will also have an impact on water levels on the New Junction Canal, towards Sykehouse Lock. Please could boaters moored in these areas, ensure that ropes are loosened accordingly. This lowering of the water levels could remain in place for up to seven days. The notice will be updated as soon as levels can be returned to normal.
