Since our last update, repairs to the offside paddle at Lock 10 have been delayed due to the necessary materials for the repair being on back order.
While we await the arrival of the materials, please take extra care when operating the lock and wait until the lock is completely full before manually opening the gates.
A further update will be provided on or before Wednesday, 7 October.

Our teams are currently awaiting delivery of the necessary materials required to repair the damaged top end offside paddle at Lock 10, Wharton's Lock on the Shropshire Union Canal.
In the meantime, please take care when operating the lock, waiting until the lock is completely full before manually opening the gates.
A further update will be provided on or before Wednesday, 23 September.

Due to a damaged top-end offside paddle, the lock is currently taking over 20 minutes to fill. Please wait until the lock is full, and open the gates manually-not by using the boat-as forcing them by boat may cause further damage.
