Please be aware that the water levels on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal have dropped.
This is due to the silt inhibitors operating as intended over the last couple of days.
However, this has resulted in little or no intake, which has affected water levels in the canal.
The river feeds on the Frome and Cam are also currently low.
The inhibitors have now been overridden, and canal levels are expected to recover over the weekend.
As a consequence, however, higher-than-normal amounts of silt will be drawn into the dock while levels are being restored.
We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while the situation normalises.
