The lock is now open and operating as normal. Thank you for your patience and understanding while the repair works were carried out.

The repair works were carried out today, Wednesday 19th August 2026. However, the team has not been able to fully complete the repairs and will return tomorrow, Thursday 20th August 2026, to finish the remaining works.
Boats will still be able to pass through the lock, but please speak to the team on site and take extra care.
Instructions: Speak to the team working on site and wait until they can safely assist you through the lock. We will update this notice with further information once the works have been completed.
