Frankton Locks – Booking Restrictions

To help conserve water resources during the continuing period of dry weather, we have reviewed the current restrictions at Frankton Locks.

Until the end of September, passage will be available for a maximum of eight boats travelling up and eight boats travelling down per day.

While this allows more boats to travel through the locks, some restrictions remain necessary due to ongoing pressures on water supplies and the challenges of replenishing water levels at Hurleston Reservoir, an important source of water for the canal network.

We will continue to closely monitor water availability and weather conditions and will review these arrangements should conditions change.
