Navigation between Lock 1 and Lock 3 on the Baddiley flight of the Llangollen Canal will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 14 July from 12noon due to low water levels from the continued dry weather we have recently been experiencing.
To protect the long-term sustainability of the canal network and continue supporting boaters across the waterway, it is essential that stop planks are installed at this location to help conserve water and manage levels effectively.
The closure will remain in place while water levels recover. As soon as conditions have improved sufficiently to allow safe navigation, the closure will be lifted and the route reopened.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide a further update on or before Friday, 17 July.
