Proposed works involve urgent stabilisation of the structurally unsafe heritage building G5 located along Herford Union Canal.
Temporary works will be installed to retain the existing brick façade while the supporting concrete structure is demolished and reconstructed.
To safely undertake these works, two local towpath closures of approximately one week each will be required.
Due to essential safety works to stabilise the heritage building G5, the towpath adjacent to the work area will be temporarily closed on two separate occasions, each for approximately one week.
The works involve installing temporary supports to the existing brick façade while the underlying concrete structure is demolished and reconstructed. These closures are necessary to protect towpath users from the risks associated with the construction activities.
Please follow all onsite signage and use alternative routes where directed.
A mooring suspension will be in place between 27th July 08:00 to 31st July 20:00
