Contractors attended to the tree today and have removed it. The section of Selby canal is clear and open to boat movement.

Due to a mechanical issue, the tree was unable to be removed yesterday. The team are back out to it this morning and anticipate to have it removed today. The notice will be updated when the tree has been removed.

Fallen tree close to Brayton Bridge
A navigation closure is in place as a fallen tree has fallen across the navigation, blocking the majority of the width of the canal, there could be more branches under the water line. We have contractors attending to the tree in the next 48 hours and we will update the notice as soon as the tree is removed from the navigation.
