As the period of dry weather continues the water levels are still significantly low, therefore, navigation remains closed between Lock 1 and Lock 7 Glasson Flight on the Lancaster Canal.
Our teams are working hard to maintain current water levels which are being monitored daily. Navigation will re-open as soon as water levels have recovered enough to allow safe navigation
A further update will be provided on or before Wednesday 26 August.

As the dry weather continues the water levels continue to be significantly low, navigation remains closed between Lock 1 and Lock 7 Glasson Flight on the Lancaster Canal.
We continue to monitor the situation daily and will provide fortnightly updates, or sooner if conditions change.
As soon as water levels have recovered to allow safe navigation, the closure will be lifted.
A further update will be on or before Wednesday 12 August.

Due to the continuation of the dry weather with water levels continuing to be significantly low, navigation remains closed between Lock 1 and Lock 7 Glasson Flight on the Lancaster Canal.
We continue to monitor the situation daily and will provide fortnightly updates, or sooner if conditions change

Navigation between Lock 1 and Lock 7 Glasson Flight, Lancaster Canal is currently closed due to low water levels.
The closure will remain in place until levels recover sufficiently for safe navigation.
