Our team have attended site and the water levels have recovered enough for the section to be navigable. The closure has been removed.

The team have fitted the new paddles and the towpath side paddle is operable but we need a new rack for the offside.
This lock can be operated by using just the towpath paddle, so once water levels have recovered we can lift the stoppage.
We will assess water levels and provide a further update in the morning.

Our team are fitting a new paddle at lock 20. The locks from 19 to 24 must not be used until the work is complete and the team are safely away from the water.
