Lock 74 of the Wigan Flight

Unfortunately we've had to reschedule these works into the New Year as a result of working through design changes and needing to secure listed building consent for these changes. The works are now planned to take place between 10 February 2027 and 26 February 2027.

The lock and therefore navigation to boaters will be closed during this period to allow us to remove existing infrastructure and install a new rack & pinion mechanism on lock 74.
