Please be advised that navigation will be closed for approximately four hours at Lock 27 (Whitford Bridge) from 6am to 10am on Thursday 2 July to allow essential repair works to be carried out on the top gate ground paddle.
The issue has been identified as a failure of the paddle bracket, which has caused the paddle rod and rack to become disengaged from the paddle stand gearing. The team will be replacing the paddle bracket and undertaking works to rectify the paddle stand gearing.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while these repairs are completed.
