Lock 5, Edward Kilner Lock - Sinkhole has opened up - repairs are needed. - open

The repairs have been carried out and Lock 5 is now open as the water levels have recovered sufficiently over the weekend.

The team have attended the Lock this morning and the water levels still haven't recovered enough to navigate. The closure will remain and be assessed over the weekend and we hope to see improvements to the water levels.

The team have attended today and repaired the void. The lock will still need to be closed overnight to allow the water levels to recover. An update will be given tomorrow.

A navigation closure has been placed as whilst the team were attending Lock 6, a sinkhole at Lock 5 was discovered. The lock is closed until repairs have been carried out. We will update the notice when he repairs have been carried and the pound has been replenished.
