Descriptions

Update 19 June 2026, 1:41pm

In addition, there is a large branch in the canal above Bridge 236A at: https://w3w.co/merit.detail.spots. At present, this is not affecting navigation.

Narrowboats are currently able to pass through the area with caution, although boaters should be aware that conditions may be shallow near the towpath.

We have arranged for our contractors to attend and remove the fallen tree and branch as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst they are being cleared.
