A navigational closure is required to facilitate the removal of an existing pedestrian and service bridge, which previously provided a link between sites either side of the canal. The bridge will be removed in its entirety. The towpath will remain open, with marshals in place to manage users. Minor delays may be experienced during lifting operations.
