Further to the notice below, our contactors are scheduled to begin repair works during the week commencing the 13th July 2026.
We anticipate the works to take approximately 7 days to complete.

Further to the notice below, please be advised that the team have been to site and are currently planning a safe method of repair and sourcing materials.
The team will commence the repairs w/c 29th June, and we will update this notice when we have further information.

Engineers attended today and have identified the paddle fault is below water so a dive will be required. While the lock is closed, alternative routes are available for narrowboat users by using the Droitwich canal and Worcester & Birmingham canal. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience while we resolve the issue.

Please be advised that due to the failure of a paddle Bevere Lock is closed.
Contractors attended site on the evening of Friday 12th June but unfortunately were unable to resolve the problem. The lock will remain closed over the weekend.
We will update this notice on Monday when further information becomes available.
