Description

Original 26 May 2026, 3:04pm

Filming will take place on the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal beneath Snow Hill Bridge on Livery Street.

Due to canal boats blocking navigation and special effects, the Farmers Bridge Locks will be closed at the following times: Friday 12th June 2pm – 8pm Monday 15th June 1pm – 9pm.

Passage through the locks will be available before filming commences on both days, there will be lock keepers on hand to help you through the locks.

Spouthouse Embankment on the Tame Valley Canal is currently closed, this could affect journey times if you wish to take a diversion. Please use the notices page to plan your route carefully.

The towpath will also be closed during filming hours, a diversion route using nearby streets will be in place. Please check local posters or ask a film crew marshal for help with directions.

Permitting filming is an important income generating activity for Canal & River Trust, in 2025/26 we raised over quarter of a million pounds for canals and rivers. This money will be spent on maintaining canals and rivers. Featuring canal locations in films and TV shows also helps to raise awareness and support for our charity.
