Long Buckby, Between Lock 8 and Lock 13

The navigation will be closed between Lock 8 and Lock 13 on the Long Buckby Lock Flight to allow pound water seepage testing as part of the Grand Union Canal Transfer Project.

Navigation will close at 4:00pm, with the last boat into the lock flight at 2:00pm, on Tuesday 16th June. We will then reopen at 9:00am on Wednesday 17th June.

Please plan your journeys to allow sufficient time to pass through the flight before the closure.

If weather conditions are unsuitable for carrying out the testing on this date, then a backup date of Tuesday 23rd has been scheduled. A further notice will be published if required.
