The project objective is to improve approximately 550 metres of towpath between the bottom of the 5 Rise and the bottom of the 3 Rise.
The main contractor, JN Bentley, will be on site for approximately 6 weeks.
During the works, restrictions to the towpath will be in place. Pedestrians may be able to divert via Bingley Bog Nature Reserve or the path on the opposite side of the canal. Please note these diversion routes may not be accessible for all users, and cyclists will be required to dismount.
If any towpath users have mobility issues and are unable to use the diversion route, the contractor will temporarily stop works and assist them safely through the work area where possible.
