The towpath remains closed between Bridge 134, Caughall, and Bridge 135, Croughton, on the Shropshire Union Canal.
The repairs to the sinkhole have been delayed while contractors carry out further investigations to determine the cause and plan a method of repair.
A signed diversion route remains in place. Please follow the diversion signs and any instructions provided on site.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
A further update will be provided on or before Tuesday, 30 June.

The towpath remains closed between Bridge 134, Caughall, and Bridge 135, Croughton, on the Shropshire Union Canal.
We are currently awaiting confirmation of completion from our contractors. A signed diversion route remains in place.

This is to allow contractors to repair the sinkhole on the towpath. A signed diversion will be in place.
