Section of bridge affected by works
Northern Gas Networks is undertaking works to replace the gas main across the bridge with an underground pipeline. The main works will not affect boaters or towpath users, but there will be a need to close the towpath access from the west side of the bridge.
Towpath access will be available from the east side of the bridge.
The towpath itself is not affected.
Instructions: Towpath users; please follow any signage on site and co-operate with requests from site staff.
