The navigation and towpath between Bridge 134 and Bridge 135 at Red Bull on the Trent & Mersey Canal remain closed.
This is to allow the safe removal of a sunken boat near Lock 45 (Kent's Lock). The work is scheduled to take place Wednesday, 3 June between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
A signed diversion route is in place via Congleton Road and Liverpool Road West. Please follow any instructions provided by staff and contractors on site.
The canal and towpath will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
A further update will be provided on or before Thursday 4 June.

The towpath will be closed between Bridges 134 & 135 at Red Bull on the Trent & Mersey Canal.
This is to allow safe removal of debris from a sunken boat near Lock 45, Kent's Lock, on Wednesday 3 June, between 7 am and 5 pm.
Please listen to any advice that may be given onsite.
A signed diversion is available via Congleton Road and Liverpool Road West.
