Bank Newton and Gargrave section closure to low water levels - *reopened*

The navigation has recovered and water levels are back to a navigable level. The stoppage has been lifted.

A navigation closure is in place for 24 hours between Bank Newton and Gargrave due to high usage over the weekend to allowing water levels in this section to recover.   The local team will be closely monitoring the section and we hope to have it open for navigation at 10:30am on Tuesday 19th May.
