Quotations are currently being sourced following the recent inspections in order for the next steps to be agreed in relation to the remedial works, whilst we understand this may cause inconvenience, alternative routes remain in place until it is safe to reopen the towpath.

Our engineers have carried out an initial inspection to assess the site and the towpath condition. We are currently awaiting the results of this inspection. We will update this notice once the inspection results have been reviewed.

Please be advised that due to defects in the towpath surface there is a towpath closure in effect between Bridge 40, Packington Squre Bridge and Bridge 41, New North Road.
