Further to the notice below, please be advised that contractors require the car park to carry out essential repairs to the Purton Tilting Weir as part of a joint investment with Bristol Water.

These works will help restore this critical water supply asset and maintain a high level of resilience.

Please note that the canoe/paddleboard launch point will be also closed during this period.   Parking in Purton village is limited. If you need to park in the village, please do so considerately and avoid blocking residents driveways or footpaths. Please be advised that the car park is required by contractors to carry out essential repair work to the Purton Tilting Weir.

These works form part of a joint investment with Bristol Water and are aimed at restoring this important water supply asset to a good condition and ensuring long-term resilience.

Please note that parking in Purton village is limited.

If you need to park within the village, we kindly ask that you do so considerately and avoid blocking residents' driveways, access routes, or footpaths.

Closure dates for the car park may be subject to change depending on tide conditions.
