Navigation has been temporarily reopened following repairs to the tailgate paddle. During these works, additional defects were identified with the lock mechanism. As a result, our local team will need to return to site to complete full repairs to the lock. Further details can be found via the Link

Navigation is currently closed at Lock 12 on the Ashton Canal due to a dislodged tailgate paddle. This issue is causing the lock to lose excessive amounts of water and prevents it from being operated.
Our team has inspected the fault and is arranging the necessary materials.
A further update will be provided by 4:00 pm on or before Wednesday, 6 May.
