Lock 6, Chicken Lock, Rufford

Following a review of the planned works, the programme has been revised and the works are now expected to be completed earlier than originally planned.

The works will commence on 4 January, as previously advertised, and are now scheduled to be completed by 29 January.

The navigation will remain closed for the duration of these works.

A navigation closure is required to carry out works to reduce water leakage through the lock gates and to repair the chamber walls. During the works, towpath users may experience small delays. Please follow any on‑site signage and instructions.
