Norish British Steel Bridge to Woodside Bridge, Pedmore Rd, Dudley, Brierley Hill

Third-party contractors are installing a new bridge over the canal as part of the West Midlands Metro Extension. To facilitate these works, contractors will need to use a limited section of the towpath.

The towpath and canal will remain open during daylight hours as normal. However, to maintain safe access for towpath users, a temporary walkway pontoon will be installed within the canal between Norish British Steel Bridge and Woodside Bridge.

The pontoon will slightly reduce the available navigation width, but the canal will remain fully operational.

Advance warning signage will be installed on site to inform customers of the works.
