W.G Beaumont & Son Ltd have been commissioned by Cadent Gas to carry out grit blasting and maintenance painting of the Cadent gas pipe.
Upon completion, access-deterrent measures will be installed to the pipework.
To facilitate these works, the gas pipe will be fully encapsulated with a scaffold structure, wrapped with sheeting for containment and protection.
A minimum headroom clearance of 2.7 m will be maintained beneath the scaffold, with appropriate signage and lighting provided to ensure the restriction is clearly visible to canal users.
