Engine Street Bridge, Oldbury to New Inns Road Bridge, Oldbury

Third-party contractors are installing a new outfall into the canal between Oldbury Lock No. 1, Top Lock and Railway Bridge (near Engine Street), Oldbury.

To facilitate the works, the towpath will be closed between Engine Street Bridge, Oldbury and New Inns Road Bridge. Signs with the towpath diversion route will be provided.

The canal will remain open, but a porta dam will be installed in the canal to allow construction of the outfall, which will restrict the canal width.

Buoys and signs will be installed. Please, take extra care when navigating through this area.
