Description

Original 9 April 2026, 11:31am

We would like to inform all boaters that a vessel has recently sunk at the north end of Roman's Quay and is currently lying below the waterline. This presents a significant underwater hazard, particularly during manoeuvring or in poor visibility and marker buoys are present.

Please take extra care when navigating nearby and keep speed to a minimum. Avoid passing directly over the marked location and maintain a safe distance at all times.

Contractors have been instructed to remove the vessel, and this work will take place in due course. Further updates will be provided once a confirmed timescale is available.
