The Chesterfield Canal is closed at Lock 44, due to damage sustained to a paddle which is now stuck in the up position and has become jammed. Operatives will be on site tomorrow, Thursday 9th April. to carry out a repair. Using the lock with the paddle in this position would drain the pound above.
