Completed: Our local team has successfully raised the water levels between Lock 85 and 86 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and Lock 1 on the Leigh Branch and navigation has now resumed.

Navigation is currently closed between Lock 85 and Lock 86 on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and Lock 1 on the Leigh Branch, due to low water levels.
Our teams are working to restore water levels to allow navigation to resume.
