Night-time closures - Contractors working on behalf of HS2 need to carry out essential works on Bridge 127A, Oxford Canal Viaduct. To allow these works to take place safely, night-time navigation closures are required. The canal will close at 8pm and reopen at 6am the following morning. The towpath will also be closed during these periods and a signed diversion route will be in place. Closure Details: 23 April 2026 to 24 April: Canal closure commences 23 April at 8pm, ending 24 April at 6am. 28 April 2026 to 30 April: Canal closure commences 28 April at 8pm and ends 29 April at 6am. The canal will be open from 6am to 8pm on 29 April. Closure resumes 29 April at 8pm and ends 30 April at 6am.
