We are currently awaiting our contractors to remove the vehicle between Lock 16 and Lock 17. Navigation remains closed until it has been removed.

We will provide a further update on Wednesday 25 March.

Following a Police incident, the canal and towpath are closed temporarily between Locks 16 and 17 on the Wolverhampton Lock Flight until the recovery of a vehicle and Police investigation can be completed. The lock gates of Lock 16 and 17 are padlocked closed and will be kept locked until further notice. We apologise for the inconvenience of this emergency closure.
