The booms have been removed and a reed clearance and pollution clean up from the spill has been carried out by Third Party Contractors. Oxclose Lock is now open for passage.

The team have been closely monitoring Oxclose Lock and the booms are ready to be removed this Friday. We will update the notice when it is reopened.

Please be aware that Oxclose Lock is currently not available for passage.
The lock itself is currently blocked with reeds and there has been a pollution incident in the area, due to a diesel leak from an unknown source. Operatives are currently on site and will be fitting a boom around the affected area, to prevent further spread.
The lock will remain closed until the area has been cleared and the pollutant has been absorbed or dispersed.
