Farmers Bridge Lock 6 to Farmers Bridge Lock 7, Fleet Street, Birmingham

Please be advised that the completion date has been extended to 5 June.

Third-party contractors are undertaking maintenance repairs to re-open Islington Place Bridge (Fleet Street footbridge).

To facilitate the works, a pontoon with a scaffold tower on it will be in the canal, along with a safety boat.

The canal will remain open and the pontoon and boat will be moved out of the way to keep boat traffic flowing.

The towpath will remain open as usual.

Signs and banksmen will be in place.
