Between Lock 2 and Lock 3

Please be advised navigation will be closed and the moorings suspended between Lock 2, Wide Lock and Lock 3 on the Shropshire Union Canal from 8:00am on Tuesday 10 March until 8:00am on Friday 13 March for third party filming to take place.

Access to the Manchester Ship Canal will be available from Whitby Lock 1, but boats will need to be moored in the lower basin before the closure.

Boaters will still be able access the facilities, including elsan and waterpoint.

We politely request customers to approach the area with caution and to listen to any advice that may be given onsite.
